On the first day of school, all Pre-Kg children and their parents were invited to attend an Orientation session organized in Delhi private school, Sharjah in April 2023, to familiarize them “as partners in progress” with the school environment and learn what to except during the upcoming school year. Every new academic year brings with it a brand-new set of possibilities to learn, difficulties to overcome, and uncharted territories to investigate, and we are dedicated to assisting our young students on their journey. The overall development of children, which is the primary goal and objective of the school, was stressed by our headmistress, Ms. Gurpreet. She emphasized that children should be allowed to develop naturally in accordance with their talents, aptitudes, and caliber.
The program commenced with parents coming with children to their respective classrooms to meet their teachers and participated in an entertaining introductory Ice breaker activity, The funny voice game which was a great way for learning everyone’s name as well as an opportunity for children to know their classmates.
While the children were getting comfortable with the classroom setting and building social skills with their peers, teachers shared specific information such as classroom schedules, volunteering opportunities, special activities, and positive introduction to the school environment, where children are more likely to feel comfortable, engaged, and ready to learn. To promote parental involvement in their child’s education a fun hands-on based activity was designed to help develop strong bonds and make child feel more at ease in the school environment. A super cute first day of school handprint craft activity to create a shape of heart with child’s picture in middle was executed in class as an adorable keepsake for parents to remember how little their kids were at this age.
Finally, to make this day even more memorable for our newly joined tiny dipsites, the children famous author and cartoonist Dr.Seuss hat colouring sheets were given to children which they enjoyed decorating and colouring with their parents. They even wrote their name and birth date on their vibrant and rich looking hat which the teacher displayed on the classroom main board with the caption “Hats off to a great class” to make each child feel special and important. They event was bought to an end with parents having a fun spot capturing photo in wonderfully designed photo booth with their preschooler in their new classroom
Overall, parents and children enjoyed a lot and appreciated it with a positive approach towards the school.
